BUILD IN NYC was founded with a simple vision: bring together real-world construction expertise, hands-on project management, and uncompromising workmanship to deliver exceptional residential and commercial projects throughout New York City.

With years of experience managing and building projects across New York and New Jersey — from luxury Manhattan renovations to large-scale multifamily and commercial developments — the company was built on a foundation of trust, quality, and long-term relationships.

Together, they bring experience from more than 200 completed projects, ranging from private residences and high-end interior renovations to ground-up multifamily buildings and complex commercial spaces. Their combined backgrounds in construction management, field execution, electrical coordination, and large-scale development allow BUILD IN NYC to approach every project with practical expertise and disciplined oversight.

Partner

Zaza Shelia

With more than a decade of hands-on construction and development experience, Zaza has been delivering high-quality residential and commercial projects throughout New York City since 2013. Over the course of his career, he has successfully completed more than 300 projects, ranging from private residential renovations to large-scale ground-up developments.

Zaza’s experience spans both residential and commercial construction, with a strong focus on project execution, structural coordination, and high-end interior and exterior craftsmanship. His portfolio includes the construction of multiple private homes throughout Queens and The Bronx, as well as major multifamily developments, including a ground-up 4-family residential building in Queens and a 6-story building in Brooklyn.

Known for his practical field knowledge, leadership on-site, and commitment to quality workmanship, Zaza brings a builder’s mindset to every stage of construction — from planning and coordination to execution and final delivery. His ability to manage complex projects while maintaining attention to detail has earned the trust of homeowners, developers, architects, and commercial clients alike.

In addition to his construction background, Zaza holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, graduating in 2003.

Today, Zaza continues to lead projects with a focus on professionalism, transparency, and long-term value — combining real-world construction expertise with disciplined project management and client-focused service.

Anri Tchelidze

Anri has worked in the construction industry since 2016, specializing in project management, high-end residential renovations, and large-scale commercial construction throughout the New York metropolitan area.

He began his career in New Jersey, managing interior apartment renovations across five residential complexes. During this time, he gained experience coordinating occupied-unit projects, scheduling trades, managing subcontractors, and overseeing large-scale renovation logistics.

In 2018, Anri joined MyHome Renovation Experts in Manhattan as a Project Manager, where he spent six years overseeing residential renovation projects throughout New York City. During his tenure, roughly 150 projects were completed, ranging from full apartment gut renovations to detailed kitchen, bathroom, and interior remodeling projects in demanding Manhattan residential environments.

Anri later joined Ostroff Electrical Contractors, LLC, contributing to high-end commercial construction projects, including work at the Flying Food Group Newark Facility, a major airline catering and food production operation near Newark Liberty International Airport.

After years managing residential and commercial projects, Anri co-founded BUILD IN NYC with Zaza Shelia, combining field expertise, disciplined project management, and a commitment to quality construction throughout New York City.

His experience across residential and commercial sectors allows him to manage projects from pre-construction planning through final completion while maintaining communication with clients, architects, consultants, and subcontractors in fast-paced New York City construction environments.
